Things that last - Fountain pens

I may be a digital native, but sometimes the tech simply hasn't reached a certain threshold. No doubt the latest in iPad and Apple Pencil are essentially analog to the experience of pen and paper, but using them requires are fairly heavy investment in both product price and infrastructure (charging cable plugins, desktop space, etc).

I happened to get the idea of trying out a Fountain pen in my head. I scrounged the used markets in my community, and eventually got a nice deal on a fairly nice but well used model (I got the black Lamy AL-star).

Compared to regular pens I've used, the writing experience is unmatched! It actually has a pleasant and satisfying scratchiness on the paper, which makes sense as there is no roller-ball reducing friction.

I also appreciate being able to refill it when it runs dry. I've acquired three used but mostly full bottles of ink. The blue is the most satisfying to use as it dries almost instantly.
