Things that last - Safety Razors

I have a mildly embarrassing confession to make - I have never spent any of my own money on shaving equipment.

This is not due to a lack of facial hair. I am quite hirsute. The reason is due to a gift of a safety razor in my early adulthood, along with a stack of razor blades.

The stack of blades is now about 3/4 used up, so at some point I am going to have to break this streak. But it's an interesting state that something can be so affordable and so well made that at the age of 31, I can still be using it after it's initial purchase more than a decade ago.
